CAN YOU PLAY COOP ON STARCRAFT 2 CAMPAIGN SERIES
I'd love to be able to back up my opinion with an actual fact for once, lol.The latest installment for Tom Clancy series is now available on early access. I tried to look up the statistics for BFME2 and C&C3.funny, it didn't show them anywhere that I found, either on top sales or even top content for xbox live. Secondly, if you're living with someone else and/or don't own your own computer so you may not be allowed to / someone may be using it(and trust me, I've heard enough screaming 12-year-olds on halo 3 to know this is the case) or even if you own a laptop, it doesn't work. Despite my fervent hopes to the contrary, it even happens with my brother.who's 20. My mother still makes me disconnect her computer every time it has to go anywhere, and reconnect it as well, since she's afraid she'll mess something up. It's a hassle for non-technically-oriented people - they have a fear of cables. People aren't going to play $100 for SC2 so they can get a keyboard and a mouse.Īdditionally, in before "they can use their keyboard and mouse from their computer". People will pay $100 for a plastic guitar and a game because it's a guitar. Oh, and also, in before "bundle it with a keyboard and mouse!" bad idea. I mean, how many people do you really think are saying "You know what I really wish my 360 could play? Supreme Commander, that's what." Oh, wait, that one's coming to consoles also.and I think it'll also fail. (disclaimer - the community here isn't indicative of the 360 community as a whole.the halo-worshipping 360 community./shudder, but personal bias aside in 3.2.1.) From the way I look at it, with any sort of statistics or facts excluded, I just don't think there's a console RTS market. the amount of people that will buy a game that requires keyboard/mouse to play. There's nothing saying that they can't make a game that takes a keyboard and mouse, but you have to weigh how much the cost will be to port it over to the xbox vs. I imagine the tools will be a lot more elegant this time around. Hopefully we'll see even better stuff in Starcraft 2.

It was really fun to see people mod Starcraft into things like RPGs, capture the flag scenarios, "smash tv", and many others. I played a lot of custom scenarios, it was one of the best parts of the game. The original game contained an amazing mod tool for a RTS game. I hope that Starcraft 2 features an extensive campaign editor (StarEdit?). I imagine if Blizzard were to make a console game, it would probably be from the ground up and not a port.
CAN YOU PLAY COOP ON STARCRAFT 2 CAMPAIGN PC
Unreal III on the PS3 gave the option of using a keyboard/mouse through BT or USB.ĪFAIK Starcraft 2 is only going to be a PC release. Is there anything limiting an Xbox 360 from using a keyboard/mouse? I was under the impression that there were 4 USB ports on the front of the console. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying that the general nature of console controllers doesn't really lend itself to RTSes. If not, attempt to, then realize that you're wishing for a very, very bad thing. I just want SC2 to arrive on a console so I don't have jump for an expensive PC.
